Parvez Hossain Emon, Towhid Hridoy and captain Akbar Ali struck half-centuries as Bangladesh U-19 posted 266 runs losing five wickets in 83 overs at stumps on day two of the first four-dayer against their English counterparts at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong Friday.
The junior Tigers now trail the visiting side by 14 runs.

Bangladesh’s Ruhel Ahmed finished with four wickets, while Minhazur Rahman and Asadullah Galib shared five scalps between themselves.
England’s Ben Charlesworth top-scored for his side with a patient 248-ball 99, featuring a dozen fours, while opener George Balderson made 65 off 135 deliveries, including 11 boundaries.

In reply, the home side were off to a poor start as opening batter Tanzid Hasan was dismissed for four.
But opener Amite Hasan and Emon added 87 for the second wicket before the former departed for 49.
Emon (62) soon reached his half century, before Hridoy too joined in the party, making 61.
Akbar (56) remained not out in the end, alongside Shahadat Hossain (nought).
