'Biopsy of the tumour will now be done in order to determine the presence or extent of a disease'
Left-arm spinner Mosharraf Rubel underwent a successful surgery to his brain tumor on Tuesday. The out of favor Bangladesh cricketer went under the blades at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore to remove the glioma, a type of tumour that starts in the glial cells of the brain or the spine.
“He has been kept in HDU for the day under observation. If all fine he will be moved to the cabin tomorrow (Wednesday),” informed Farhana Rupa Chaity, wife of Mosharraf.
According to Farhana, biopsy of the tumour will now be done in order to determine the presence or extent of a disease.

37-year old Mosharraf, who is a regular figure in domestic cricket in Bangladesh, learned about the deadly disease thorough medical checkups in Dhaka after having fallen severely ill. There were a few occasion when the cricketer had fainted.
The news had left the cricketing arena shocked as many took prompt stance to take side of Mosharraf in order to fight the ordeal either by providing mental and financial support.
