Tigers alter bowling plan in slog overs

Bangladesh leaked 116 runs in their last 10 overs in the practice game against India. 

Among those 10 overs, left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman bowled two, leg-spinner Sabbir Rahman three, right-arm pacer Rubel Hossain two, left-arm spinner Shakib al Hasan two and right-arm pacer Abu Jayed Rahi one. 

In the slog overs, between overs 40 to 50, Mustafizur conceded 18, Sabbir gave away 22, and took KL Rahul’s wicket, Rubel conceded 25, Shakib leaked 30 and took Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni’s wickets and Jayed gave away 21.

Interestingly, captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza and all-rounder Saifuddin had only bowled six overs in the innings and did not bowl in the slog overs. 

These two bowled regularly recently in the tri-nation ODI series in Ireland. 

Perhaps skipper Mashrafe gave chance to all the other bowlers to bowl in tricky situation in the warm-up game before beginning their World Cup campaign. 

And since it’s a practice game, all the available bowlers got a few overs under their belt and experienced how difficult a task they have to face in the World Cup on relatively good batting tracks.
