As top Bangladesh cricketers called for a strike to abstain from cricketing activities for the foreseeable future until their demands are addressed by the Bangladesh Cricket Board, the movement has cast doubts on their upcoming tour of India in November.

However, according to Indian media outlets, the president-elect of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Sourav Ganguly is confident that BCB will be able to sort out the issues and the tour will take place as scheduled.

"It is their internal matter, but they will sort out, they will come," said president-elect Ganguly while answering whether the strike would come in the way of the series.

Answering another question on whether he would speak to the BCB, Ganguly reiterated his position, “It is their internal matter. I will speak to the BCB, but this doesn't come under me."

Earlier, about 50 cricketers from the Bangladesh national circuit went on a strike and put forth an 11-point demand aimed at the betterment of cricket in the country.
