There are just four games of the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League T20 left to be played in Chittagong, and Dhaka Platoon will kick off the last set of matches in the port city when they lock horns with Cumilla Warriors in the afternoon Monday.

Meanwhile, Khulna Tigers will take on Rajshahi Royals in the evening game.

Dhaka Platoon were considered as one of the favorites in the tournament, with their star-studded squad featuring Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Tamim Iqbal, Shahid Afridi and Thisara Perera, among others. However, Platoon have only managed two wins in four matches, and is at number five in the points table.

Dhaka’s last defeat came against the high-flying Chattogram Challengers, as they lost by 18-runs in a high scoring affair. The side will be boosted with the return of opener Tamim, who is coming back to the team after recovering from illness.

Tamim was away for a game and his replacement Mominul Haque proved his worth with a half century in his first game of the season.

Chattogram Challengers will be looking to return to winning ways in today’s match, after a four-game winning streak was broken by the Rangpur Rangers.

With five wins in seven matches, the Challengers are still at the top of the BBPL table with 10 points.

In the second game of the day, Khulna Tigers will look to reconcile the defeat from the previous game by securing a win against Rajshahi.

At number two in the points table with three wins in four matches, Khulna were looking strong with both bat and the ball until they took on Sylhet Thunder on Saturday and conceded a heavy defeat.

Khulna’s bowling attack had failed in the game, as Sylhet posted a record total to achieve their first win of the season. Andre Fletcher and Johson Charles stepped up for Sylhet, with Fletcher getting the BBPL its first century of the season, while Charles entertained with a 38-ball 90.
