The side have also roped in Pakistan pace all-rounder Aamer Yamin in place of Wanindu Hasaranga.
Amla is now a regular in franchise leagues around the globe but he never participated in BPL T20. South Africa legend Amla in 154 T20Is have scored 4284 runs.
The former South Africa opener will start his campaign with Khulna Tigers from the Sylhet phase.
