Bangladesh 189 all out, Sri Lanka win by 97 runs

Sri Lanka managed to score 286 losing six wickets in 50 overs riding on skipper Kusal Perera's 120 run innings

Bangladesh managed to score 189 runs losing all of their wickets while chasing 287 against visiting Sri Lanka and lost by 97 runs during their third and final ODI of the three match series at Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla national cricket stadium on Friday.

Bangladesh lost opener Mohammad Naim (1) in the second over while number three batsman Shakib al Hasan also went back to pavilion in fourth over after scoring 4.

Later Tigers captain Tamim Iqbal also got out scoring 17.

Mosaddek Hossain (51) and Mahmudullah (53) scored half cenruties but those efforts were not enough for Tigers to clinch the victory.

Sri Lanka have scored 286 runs losing six wickets from their stipulated fifty overs after captain Kusal Perea won the toss and elect to bat first.

Sri Lanka opening pair Kusal Perera and Danushka Gunathilaka made 82 runs opening partnership.

Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed then took two wickets in the 12th over as Gunathilaka (39) and Pathum Nissanka (0) went back to pavilion. Later Taskin also took the wicket of Kusal Mendis (22) in the 26th over.


Lankan skipper Kusal Perera got out after scoring 120.

Eventually Sri Lanka managed to score 286 as Dhananjaya de Silva remain unbeaten on 55.

Taskin was the best bowlers for Bangladesh as he took four wickets conceding 46 runs from nine overs.

Bangladesh made two changes in their playing eleven as opening batsman Mohammad Naim Sheikh came in replacing Liton Kumar Das while pacer Taskin is playing replacing all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin
