Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah has become the first Bangladeshi player to play 100th game in the T20I format in their third match of the five-T20I series against visiting New Zealand in Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium Tuesday.
Mushfiqur Rahim is the second Bangladeshi on the list on 89 games, and Shakib al Hasan is in third with 87 matches.
Both Mushfiq and Shakib are playing against the Kiwis.
Tamim Iqbal is in fourth position with 74 caps while Soumya Sarkar is fifth with 61 games.
Pakistan’s Shoaib Malik holds the record of highest caps in T20Is with 116 matches.
Mahumuddullah is the eighth player to reach the 100 T20I milestone with the other seven being Malik, Mohammad Hafeez of Pakistan (113), Rohit Sharma of India (111), Eoin Morgan of England (107), Kevin O'Brien of Ireland (104), Martin Guptill of New Zealand (102) and Ross Taylor of New Zealand (102).
