U-16 girls drawn with Vietnam, UAE, Bahrain and Lebanon

Bangladesh were placed in Group F during the official draw of the event, held at AFC House in Kuala Lumpur Wednesday

Bangladesh U-16 team will play against Vietnam, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Lebanon in the AFC U-16 Women's Championship 2019 Qualifiers, that kicks off in Dhaka this September.

Bangladesh were placed in Group F during the official draw of the event, held at AFC House in Kuala Lumpur Wednesday. Along with Bangladesh, Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Tajikistan will play host to Round 1 of the Qualifiers.

A total of 30 teams from across Asia will battle for eight spots in Round 2 of the Qualifiers, where the sides will then be divided into two groups of four teams each, with the top two sides from each group advancing to the finals next year.

The Qualifiers Round 1 will be played from September 15-23 this year while the Qualifiers Round 2 will be held from February 23 to March 3 next year.

Bangladesh girls finished top in the group stage in the last edition after winning all their matches and qualified for the final round in September last year for the first time in history.
