The three-day long beach football tournament got underway in Cox’s Bazar Thursday. State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder inaugurated the tournament as the chief guest.
Cox’s Bazar district commissioner Mohammad Kamal Hossain was also present among others. A total of 16 divisions, including eight male sides and as many women teams, are taking part in the tournament.
Dhaka took on Mymensingh in the opening day of the competition. The tournament will end Saturday with the final.
