ULAB, South East complete semi line-up

University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh and South East University Wednesday advanced to the semi-finals of the 2nd Shahjalal Islami Bank Faraaz Gold Cup Inter University Football Tournament.

In the third quarter-final, and first match of the day, at Kamalapur Stadium at 3pm, ULAB edged Shanta-Mariam University 4-3 in the tie-breaker after normal time failed to produce a goal. Goalkeeper Azizur Rahman of ULAB was adjudged player of the match.

Later, South East University pipped IUB 3-2 in the penalty shootout after yet another stalemate in normal time. Custodian Abdur Rahman Parvez of South East University was named man of the match.

The final will be held Sunday at 4pm at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka. Prior to the final, the pre-match press conference will be held at BNS Saturday at 4pm.

Brac University and City University are the other semi-finalists.
