Arambagh Krira Sangha continued their winning run in the Bangladesh Premier League as they got their third win in the tournament when they beat Chittagong Abahani Limited 2-0 at their home ground, Rafique Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh Sunday.
With this win, Arambagh now have nine points from four matches and are second in the points table, behind league leader Bashundhara Kings, who have played one game less.
The first half went barren but the host took the lead in the 53rd minute thanks to local striker Arifur Rahman as he connected a perfect header off a cross from Nigerian recruit Matthew Chinedu from the right side.

The Chittagong outfit had a great chance to equalise in the very next minute, but their Gambian strike Momodou Bah’s header struck the goal bar.
With the reprieve, Arambagh strengthened their lead in the 66th minute and Chinedu once again earned an assist as he created another cross and Cameroonian Paul Emile obliged by scoring.
This was the first loss for Chittagong Abahani and they are sixth with five points.
