Newcomer Bashundhara Kings maintained their impressive start on their debut campaign in the Bangladesh Premier League as they beat Lt. Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited 3-1 Thursday at Sheikh Kamal Stadium in Nilphamari.
The Kings are still at the summit with 37 points from 13 matches, including 12 wins.
Bashundhara dominated the game from the very beginning but had to wait till the 37th minute to break the deadlock.
Brazilian forward Marcos de Silva opened the scoring with a fine shot from outside the d-box.

Right after the first half whistle, 2015 top-flight champion Sheikh Jamal brought parity in the 51st minute when Gambian forward Emil Sambu found the back of the net from a Solomon King pass from the left flank.
A quick brace from Matin Mia though gave the Kings all three points.
Matin bagged his first in the 57th minute as he headed home from an Emon Mahmud chip while six minutes later, the former connected a pass from Costa Rican forward Daniel Colindres.
In the process, the Kings did the double over Sheikh Jamal following their 1-0 win in the first phase.
