The transfer window of 2019-20 season was held on October-November while the Federation Cup took place in December-January
The activities of fresh football season is likely to start around two months earlier than the previous season as Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) want to kick off the 2020-21 season with curtain raiser Federation Cup in October.
“We want to start the new season few months earlier. The schedules for transfer window can be set for August-September. Then the Federation Cup can be held in October.” said Abu Nayeem Shohag, the BFF general secretary, after Sunday’s executive committee meeting.
The transfer window of 2019-20 season was held on October-November while the Federation Cup took place in December-January. Shohag also added that the verdict is up to the next executive committee of BFF whose Election and Congress is temporally postponed due to Covid-19.

Meanwhile, the BPL players are eager to return to football as soon as possible. National team and Bashundhara Kings defender Topu Barman reacted after the league was declared abandoned, “It’s a big problem for players for having no games for such long time.”
Other national team defender Raihan Hasan said, “Nothing much to say about the decision but the BFF should look at the financial matter of the players. The players, clubs and BFF can come to a solution so that nobody gets affected.”
“I’m mad about returning to football. Football is like family and related to my soul. We want to return to the games as soon as situation gets normal. We also need proper training to maintain fitness and get ready for match performance.” added the Abahani Limited full-back.
