The news came just three days before their Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match against arch-rivals Abahani
12 Mohammedan Sporting Club’s footballers, their Australian coach Sean Lane and four ballboys tested Covid-19 positive during their routine tests, confirmed the club officials on Monday.
The news came just three days before their Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match against arch-rivals Abahani Limited and the Black and White outfits have already requested Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) to postpone their matches for at least next two weeks.

Nine of the 12 footballers are regular starters and none of the affected people have seen any symptoms yet. The footballers are currently in isolation at the club while coach Shaun Lane is in isolation at his home in Gulshan.
"17 people including our coach and players have been affected by Covid-19 at our camp. We will not be able to play the Abahani match on June 25. We have already informed BFF by a letter. We have requested that our games be postponed for 14 days," Mohammedan director and football secretary Abu Hasan Chowdhury Prince told the media.
The second leg of the ongoing BPL is scheduled to start on June 25 when Mohammedan and Abahani are supposed to face off in Dhaka Derby in the second match of the day.
