Bangladesh Ansar and VDP registered victories in both the men's and women's category of Victory Day Handball Tournament, which was inaugurated at M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in Paltan Wednesday.
Both Bangladesh Police and Bangladesh Ansar and VDP defeated Dhaka Handball Training Centre 35-12 and 40-24 respectively in the men's category while Border Guard Bangladesh beat Quantum team 39-16.
Meanwhile in the women's event, Bangladesh Ansar and VDP outplayed Bangladesh Police Handball Club 30-12 while BJMC defeated Dhaka Handball Training Centre 34-9.
Earlier, Youth and Sports Minister Sree Biren Sikder inaugurated the tournament as the chief guest.
