
Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation lifted the Exim Bank 28th National Women's Handball Competition title, organised by Bangladesh Handball Federation, after beating Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party in the grand finale Friday.
BJMC beat Bangladesh Ansar and VDP 32-21 at Captain M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium.
The winning side led the first half 17-10.
Player of the tournament, Dalia Akter, who wears the No 6 jersey, scored nine goals for the victorious side while Khaleda netted half a dozen.
For Bangladesh Ansar and VDP, Ismat Ara struck eight times.
Meanwhile in the third-place deciding match, Bangladesh Police Handball Club beat Panchagarh district 22-13.
Bangladesh Police Handball Club had led the first half 10-6.
Sayeeda scored 10 goals while Rubina bagged seven for Bangladesh Police Handball Club while Rekha notched four for Panchagarh.
