3rd South Asian Archery Championship: Bangladesh archers enjoy successful day three
Bangladesh enjoyed a largely successful day Monday in the 3rd South Asian Archery Championship, winning all the six semi-final clashes. It should be mentioned that the Bangladesh archers will face neighbour India in the final of all six events. In the men’s recurve team event, Bangladesh’s Roman Sana, Tamim and Ibrahim advanced to the final. Meanwhile in the women’s recurve team event, Bangladesh’s Nasrin Akter, Radia Akter Shapla and Rabeya Khatun reached the final. In the men’s compound team event, Bangladesh’s Asim Kumar, Abu Kashem Mamun and Ashikuzzaman progressed to the final. In the women’s compound team event, Bangladesh’s Sushmita Banik, Ruksana Akter and Bonnya Akter made their way to the final while in the compound mixed team category, Asim and Bonnya reached the final. The archers will fight for 10 gold medals Tuesday from 9am to 4pm. Later, the presentation ceremony will be held, bringing an end to the third edition of south Asia’s premier archery competition.
