DMP reign supreme in Police Handball

Dhaka Metropolitan Police clinched the Police Handball Championship, organised by the Bangladesh Police Handball Club, in both the men’s and women’s categories Saturday.

DMP men’s team beat Armed Police Battalion 28-10 in the final at Rajarbagh Police Handball Ground while the DMP women’s side defeated the APB women’s team 17-6.

DMP’s Mahbubul Alam Chowdhury was adjudged player of the tournament in the men’s event while DMP’s Rubina Khatun was named player of the tournament in the women’s category. 

A total of six men’s teams and as many women’s sides participated in the tournament.

The best players from the tournament will be included in the national police men’s and women’s teams.
