Sports Mymensingh became the champions of the Green Table Tennis Prize Money tournament as they beat Phoenix by 3-0 in the final at Green Road, Dhaka on Friday.
The day-long tournament, sponsored by Green Table Tennis, was held at one of the finest and premium venues situated at the heart of the capital. As many as 11 teams took part in the tournament.
Apart from the finalists, other participating teams were, Defenders, BCC Tennis Junkies, TT Maniac, Josephites, Dhaka Table Tennis Academy, Rivals, ERC, Rainbow TT Club and Bench Warmers.
Each of the team could rope in one player from top 16 of the national ranking and that alleviated the quality of the tourney as well as making it exciting at the simultaneously.
The tournament created a good hype with lots of enthusiasm among the players, followers and organizers with a view to promote the table tennis culture of the country.
