Bangladesh off to flying start in Asian U-14 Tennis

In the boys’ first round matches, Mehedi Hasan Alvi beat Chirag Timilsina of Nepal 6-1 6-2, Zubaid Utsho defeated Tobden Tshering of Bhutan 6-0 6-3 while Mohammad Roman Hossain beat Undrakh Puredorj of Mongolia 6-1 6-1

Bangladesh made a flying start in second installment of the ITF Asian U-14 Division Two Tennis Competition Monday as all six representatives in the boys and girls’ event went through to the second round.

In the boys’ first round matches, Mehedi Hasan Alvi beat Chirag Timilsina of Nepal 6-1 6-2, Zubaid Utsho defeated Tobden Tshering of Bhutan 6-0 6-3 while Mohammad Roman Hossain beat Undrakh Puredorj of Mongolia 6-1 6-1.

Meanwhile in the girls’ singles, Mashfia Afrin defeated Reaksmey Lou of Cambodia 6-1 6-1, Suborna Khatun beat Xin Ying Chong of Cambodia 6-3 6-4 while Sadia Afrin defeated Tajikistan’s Madina Zafari 6-0 6-0.
