“The RAB has been carrying out its duties smoothly to curb crime and corruption in the society. Whenever any RAB personnel is found involved in unauthorised duties, they face legal actions.”
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal yesterday said that the government has no plans to reshuffle elite the force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).
“Bangabandhu gave us the flag of an independent Bangladesh. The new generation should always work for the nation’s development, following the ideals of Bangabandhu,”
Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Annisul Huq made the statement at a discussion organised by Bangabandhu Projonmo League at Jatiyo Shilpakala Academy in the capital on Monday.
"The trial of the August 21 grenade attack case was likely to be completed by December. The trial was delayed as the BNP-Jamaat alliance foiled evidence of the attack."
Law Minister Anisul Huq was addressing a discussion organised by Chhatra League at the TSC of Dhaka University in memory of those who died in the 2004 attack.
