Gonojagoron Moncho, the pro-liberation youths’ platform, has announced fresh programmes, demanding immediate arrest of the killers of secular publisher Faisal Arefin Dipan.
Moncho Spokesperson Imran H Sarker made the announcement at Shahbagh in Dhaka on Tuesday while observing half-day hartal in protest of killing and attack on secular publishers, bloggers.
As part of the programmes, the platform will bring out a coffin rally from Shahbagh to the Home Ministry around 11am on Thursday.
They will also stage a protest rally in the capital around 3pm Friday, demanding the arrest of the killers of Dipan.
The organization has observed half-day hartal, demanding immediate arrest of the killers of Dipan.
The activists and supporters of Gonojagoron Moncho blocked Shahbagh intersection in the capital as a part of their half-day countrywide hartal.
The pro-liberation youths’ platform interrupted traffic movement in the intersection around 6:30am Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Dhaka University Teachers' Association have formed a human chain in the morning, protesting the killing and attack.
Jagriti Prakashani Publisher Faisal Arefin Dipan, whose publishing house published a book of slain writer-blogger Avijit Roy, was hacked to death in the capital's Aziz Supermarket on Saturday.
He was killed a few hours after three bloggers and writers, including Shuddhashar Prokashani Publisher Ahmedur Rashid Tutul, were hacked in the capital's Lalmatia area on Saturday afternoon.
