Zarif Bin Newaz, the boy injured in a gas explosion in which he lost his parents on February 26, is desperately looking for his parents.
“Where is my mother? I also don’t know the condition of my brother; would you please take me to them?” he was repeatedly asking his relatives.
The 11-year-old Zarif still does not know the tragic gas explosion not only took his parents’ lives it also killed his two brothers.
He is now passing days by watching cartoon and playing games in his maternal uncle’s house.
“We are trying to make him forget about the incident as he might not bear the pain,” Abul Hasanat Khan, uncle of Zarif, told the Dhaka Tribune.
“We will not let him know what really happened to his parents and brothers right now as his psychical condition is still not well and he needs to recover completely, he said.
Zarif is undergoing treatment at the City Hospital of Mohammadpur with 6% burn injury. At present he is staying at home for better mental and psychical care.
