BGB deployed ahead of Union Parishad polls

The members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed in 10 municipalities and 608 Union Parishad election areas over security concerns.

The BGB personnel were deployed on Sunday morning.

BGB Public Relation Officer Mohosin Reza told the Dhaka Tribune: “BGB personnel were deployed to maintain security in the areas ahead on the election.”

The first phase of Union Parishad elections would be held on March 22.
