The former prime minister has acquired a twitter account following a decision to become more active on social media to present her views on various issues to the public.
Her twitter handle is BegumZiaBd. As of 8:30pm Thursday it had 136 followers.
In her first tweet, she wrote, “Founding Day Call – Let us unite to defeat authoritarianism, win democracy and freedom.”
It was followed moments later by a Bangla translation of the same tweet.
On Thursday, Khaleda launched BNP's official website
