The Indian high commissioner to Bangladesh on Thursday paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganabhaban to present her a book on India's foreign policy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
High Commissioner Harsh Vardhan Shringla also briefed the premier on the implementation and follow up of MoUs and agreements that were signed during the PM's India visit in April.

Later, Harsh Vardhan handed a copy of Uday Mahurkar’s book “Marching with a Billion” to the PM.
A press release issued by the high commission states that the book calls Bangladesh “a key developmental partner of India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.” It also says the book refers to the widespread recognition and appreciation of the Sheikh Hasina’s policy of zero tolerance against terrorism.
The book, reportedly, also highlights her “exceptional leadership and cooperation in successfully implementing the border accord between both countries.”
Uday Mahurkar is a political analyst and Senior Editor of India Today magazine. Over the years, he has closely studied Modi’s development vision and programmes. He is also a researcher of radical Islamic movements and their rise in South Asia, and has deep interest in national security issues.
Uday's book “analyses Modi’s performance as the BJP-led NDA government completed three years,” according to India’s Financial Express.
