Hundreds of people of Bangladesh origin turned up at Regent's Park Mosque in London to attend the first namaj-e-janaza of recently deceased Dhaka North City Corporation mayor Annisul Huq on Friday.
The janaza was held at the mosque after the jumma prayers at around 6:45pm Bangladesh time.
Bangladesh High Commissioner in London Nazmul Quaunine, Deputy High Commissioner Khondker M Talha, and Awami League UK Chapter President Sultan Mohammad Sharif attended the janaza, among other dignitaries and community leaders.

Annisul's body was bound for Heathrow Airport after the janaza.
A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight is scheduled to leave the airport with the body around 12:15am Bangladesh time on Saturday.
Annisul Huq died at a hospital in London on Thursday.
