Update : 04 Nov 2020, 07:31 PM

With 95% of the votes counted, it is a nail-biting stiff competition in Wisconsin for Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

Both the candidates are in neck-to-neck battle with decimal points. Approximately 166,000 votes are left to be counted in Wisconsin. Democrat nominee Biden has a slight lead with 20,748 more votes than Rebublican candidate Trump.

Biden has won 49.6% of the total votes counted with 1,630,334 votes, while Trump has won 1,609,586 (48.9%), reports USA Today citing AP’s projection.

Wisconsin hadn’t gone red for a Republican since 1984 before Donald Trump won here in 2016. That history has Democrats and Joe Biden confident they can win back voters who bolted from the party four years ago. Polls show a tight race and both campaigns have canvassed the state with a slew of events and ads, reports USA Today.

The latest vote tally showed Democrat challenger Joe Biden with a lead in the Electoral College - 224 votes to 213, with 270 needed for victory - but with counting still to be completed in at least five major “battleground” states: Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina and Georgia.
