During interrogation, the father and son claimed that they had come from Nepal where they worked in a brick kiln
Indian police have arrested two Bangladeshi men for allegedly trespassing and illegally staying in the state of Assam, reports NDTV.
On a tip-off, the law enforcers on Thursday raided a house in the state’s Aironjungla area and found Mokbul Sheikh and his 18-year-old son Basir staying there without necessary documents, Dhubri senior police official Abhijit Gaurav told reporters.
The father and his son are originally from the Kathalbari union in Kurirgram district of Bangladesh.
"During interrogation, the father and son claimed that they had come from Nepal where they worked in a brick kiln. The father also stated that he had worked in different places of India and Nepal as a labourer for the last 25 years", he said.
A case was filed in this connection.
